LFSN's Nick Pierce recently touched base with Liberty Field Hockey Head Coach Nikki Parsley to discuss the summer months and look ahead to the fall 2017 season.
This fall, the Lady Flames return an experienced group of players from last year's squad which finished second in the BIG EAST Conference in their inaugural season. Liberty is anchored by senior captains Cassidy Bremner, Alynn Richardson and Rachel Suter. All-BIG EAST selections Abby Julius, Agueda Moroni and Allison Schaefer will also play key roles for the team, while the Lady Flames also welcome 10 new players to the squad.
Following a pair of road exhibition contests at Richmond (Aug. 15) and William & Mary (Aug. 19) in the middle of August, Liberty will begin its 2017 field hockey season on Aug. 26 at home against James Madison.
