Day 1: Women Win Relay Title, Stand in Fifth

COLUMBIA, Md. – The Harper women’s track and field team captured the 3200m relay title and stands in fifth place after the first day of competition at the NJCAA Division III National Championships at Howard Community College.

The 3200m relay team of Kalia Privatsky (Barrington)Stephanie Chaires (Christian Liberty)Marisa Andreuccetti(Elk Grove Village, Ill., Conant), and Jordan Wagner (Schaumburg, Ill., Schaumburg) won the title in 10:00.30. The 400m relay team qualified for Saturday’s finals.

The women continue competition Friday with many preliminaries, which will be a big determinant in who can score points for the rest of the competition.
