Hawks Finish 14th at Chicagoland Indoor Championships


NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Facing a high level of competition at the 18-team Chicagoland Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Saturday, the Harper men's track and field team took 14th place with a team total of seven points. 
 
Host North Central College captured the meet championship with 159.5 points, followed by second place Lewis University (99 points) and third place Carthage College (90 points).

The distance medley relay team of John Majerus (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove), Zach Stella (Palatine, Ill./Palatine), Brennan Albuck (/Hoffman Estates) and Juan Barajas (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Schaumburg) crossed the finish line in 10:50.97 for sixth place and three points. Stella also earned points in the 1000-meter run with a fifth place finish in a time of 2:38.81.

The Hawks return to North Central on Friday for the Cardinal Classic. Competition begins at 5 PM.
