Sims Signs with Harper College

PALATINE, Ill. – The Harper College women's basketball program added another player to its recruiting class this week. Normal West High School graduate Ashonte Sims signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to play for the Hawks.

 

The 5-foot-7 small forward/power forward played for coach Angie Condren and won the Rebounding Award and the Charge Award for the Wildcats. Sims was a three-sport athlete at Normal West, also competing in volleyball and track and field. In track and field, she won the Most Outstanding Athlete award.

Sims plans on majoring in physical therapy and is eager to come to Harper.

"I am looking forward to the start of my career at Harper College and to have an amazing season with my new coach," she said.
