We hadn’t played a 7:30 AM game since week one, but we came
out and played a decent first half. Our 3-point shooters once again gave us a
cushion, and we also got out on the fast break, beating the other team down the
court. All this led to a 15-point halftime lead. It was also fun to play
against my college roommate Kevin.
We were kind of sluggish and played a sloppy second half. It
never seemed like the lead would slip away, but we also never really went on a
huge run to take a 20-25 point lead. Nonetheless, we picked up the win and hold
a firm grip on first place in the league.
After the game, we discussed the “4 Humbling Life Lessons”
devotional, sharing which of the four life lessons listed applied to us the
most. It was encouraging to see everyone being honest and vulnerable about what
they’ve struggled with and dealt with regarding humility.
