PALATINE, Ill. – The Harper College volleyball program recently signed South Elgin High School standout volleyball player Adriana Loiacono.

The 5-foot-10 middle hitter was an All-Conference honorable mention selection for a South Elgin team that broke the school record for most wins in a season. She also received Academic All-Conference honors.

"I'm looking forward to Adriana playing at Harper College this fall. She is a tall, strong and versatile hitter," said Harper head coach Bob Vilsoet. "She's currently playing on a very strong Sky High Junior Olympic volleyball club team. The level of volleyball she's been playing the last year has given her tremendous experience, so she'll be well-prepared for the next level."

Loiacono plans on studying to be a physician's assistant and can't wait to get her collegiate volleyball career started.

"I love the way Bob coaches and teaches me how to get better. Having a physician's assistant major on top of it-I knew it'd be a great fit," she said.
