The Liberty Lady Flames field hockey team is in its first week of preseason training in preparation for the 2017 season.
This afternoon, the Liberty Flames Sports Network's (LFSN) Nick Pierce caught up with first-year head coach Nikki Parsley, as well as senior captains Cassidy Bremner and Alynn Richardson.
The Lady Flames will play a pair of exhibition contests against in-state foes, starting next Tuesday at Richmond (2 p.m.). Liberty will travel to William & Mary for an exhibition game against the Tribe on Aug. 19 (1 p.m.).
The Lady Flames will open regular-season competition on Aug. 26 (1 p.m.) at home versus James Madison. Liberty, who is in its second season in the BIG EAST Conference, will begin BIG EAST play on Sept. 16 against Villanova at the Liberty Field Hockey Field.
