Quinn Hired as Lacrosse Assistant Coach

Liberty Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Kelly Nangle has announced the hiring of Tori Quinn as an assistant coach for the Lady Flames.

Quinn comes to Liberty after serving as an assistant coach for two years (2015-17) at Canisius. She also enjoyed a successful four-year playing career for the Griffins.

"I am extremely thankful and excited for the opportunity to join Kelly (Nangle) and her staff and become a part of the Liberty lacrosse family," Quinn stated. "Her passion and dedication to continue to build and take Liberty lacrosse to the next level nationally is what ultimately led me to choose this position."

Quinn joins the Liberty lacrosse staff as an assistant coach.

Quinn will be responsible for helping coach the Lady Flames' offense as well as working with the goalkeepers. She will also assist with recruiting.

In two years as an assistant at Canisius, Quinn coached 17 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Conference players. The Griffins finished 2017 with the most wins (15) and fewest losses (5) in program history, while winning the MAAC Championship to earn a spot in the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Quinn coached three student-athletes who broke program records during the 2017 season, including 2017 Tewaaraton Award Semifinalist Erica Evans.

Tori has an undeniable passion for the sport that will make an immediate impact on our players," Liberty Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Kelly Nangle said. "Adding Tori to our staff is going to help us continue to grow and take this program to new heights. We are excited to add her enthusiasm, energy and experience to the program!" 

In Quinn's six years as a Griffins player and assistant coach, the team won five conference titles. The Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, native finished her playing career as one of the most celebrated players in program history.

Quinn earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Regional All-America honors on three separate occasions and was a three-time MAAC Offensive Player of the Year. She closed out her career with 154 goals, 97 assists and 251 points in a Griffins uniform.

The native of Canada graduated from Canisius in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in physical education/health. She then went on receive her master's degree in sport administration and management from Canisius in 2017.
