CHICAGO, Ill. – The Harper College men's basketball team held a 42-28 advantage at halftime over Richard J. Daley College but saw that lead evaporate in the second half. Kyle Burch's basket at the buzzer gave the Bulldogs a 67-65 triumph on Monday night.
Four Hawks (9-8) scored in double-figures, led by Bradley Reibel (/Prospect) with 16 points and eight rebounds.Tyler Gaedele (Arlington Heights, Ill./Rolling Meadows ) scored 15 points, Kevin Sexton (/Prospect) added 13, and Kyle White (/De La Salle) scored 11 points.
Derrick Nicholas scored a team-high 15 points for the Bulldogs (7-9), and Malcolm Martin added 15. Both teams shot over 50 percent from the floor, with Harper shooting 53.7 percent (22-of-41) and Daley shooting 52.9 percent (27-of-51). The Hawks committed 23 turnovers in the game, compared to 15 for the Bulldogs.
Harper plays a N4C road game at Wright tomorrow at 7 PM.
