The Liberty men's tennis team was tabbed as the No. 8 seed for next week's 2017 Big South Men's Tennis Championship.
The Flames (7-14, 0-7 Big South) will face off with the No. 1 seed Presbyterian Blue Hose in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 19, at 9 a.m. Presbyterian (14-10) earned the top seed by going 6-1 in Big South action for their first regular-season title since 2014. Liberty and Presbyterian met on April 1 in Lynchburg, a match won, 6-1, by the Blue Hose.

Gardner-Webb earned the No. 2 seed with a 5-2 mark in conference, while Campbell was pegged the No. 3 seed with a 5-2 record. The Runnin' Bulldogs topped the Camels in their regular season meeting.
Longwood and Winthrop both finished with identical 4-3 records in league play, but Longwood took the head-to-head matchup between the two teams to claim the No. 4 seed. Winthrop, the No. 5 seed, will meet Longwood in the quarterfinals.
Radford lands the No. 6 seed on the basis of its 3-4 conference record, while UNC Asheville comes in at No. 7 with a 1-6 Big South mark.
Should Liberty defeat No. 1 seed Presbyterian on Wednesday, they would move on to face the winner of No. 4 Longwood and No. 5 Winthrop on Thursday at noon. The championship match will be contested on April 21 at 4 p.m.

Friday, April 21 – Championship
Match 7: Match 5 winner vs. Match 6 winner, 4 p.m.
