Burton Garners Second Straight BSC Freshman of the Week Honor

Liberty men's tennis player Chase Burton was tabbed the Big South Conference Men's Tennis Freshman of the Week for a second straight week by the league office, Wednesday.
The freshman remained unbeaten this spring with a doubles victory and singles triumph against James Madison, this past Saturday at the Crosswhite Athletic Club in Lynchburg.
He paired up with Max Borcuti for a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles over JMU's Miljan Ruzic and Sebastian Salinas. Burton then went on to win at No. 1 singles in three sets (6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-3) over the Dukes' top singles player, Theophile Lanthiez.
Burton is 3-0 at No. 1 singles this year and 3-0 in doubles play this spring.
Burton was tabbed the Big South Freshman of the Week for a second straight week by the league office on Wednesday.
Burton and the Flames (2-1) are in action today at Elon (1-5) and play road matches at George Mason (2-2) and at Navy (7-2), Friday and Saturday.
