The Liberty Flames men's tennis team put together another impressive showing on Wednesday night, taking down Saint Joseph's, 6-1, at the USTA National Campus to close out their spring break trip.
Just as the Flames did earlier in the day against Fairfield, they swept the doubles matches and captured five of six singles matches in their evening match.
The victory extends Liberty's winning streak to three matches and ups their record to an even 7-7 on the year. Saint Joseph's falls to 5-6. The Flames closed their spring break trip with a 3-1 mark.
Liberty's doubles pairings once again won in convincing fashion on Wednesday night. Flames freshman Vince Salas and sophomore captain Eddie Gutierrez collected their second 6-0 win of the day, this time besting the Hawks' Kyle Chalmers and Dan Tan, 6-0, on court two.

Freshman Chase Burton and sophomore Max Borcuti were victorious for the second time of the day in the No. 3 doubles contest with a 6-1 triumph over Luis Janko and Andre Fick. Their win put Liberty up, 1-0, in the match.
Sophomore Alex Poynter and junior captain Diego Castano had to work a little harder to notch their second doubles win of the day, but they did so. The pair won, 6-4, over Tim Stierle and Peter Dewitt on court one.
It was another strong singles session for the Flames in the nightcap. Diego Castano was the first Flame to close out his match, Wednesday. Castano did so in straight sets over Tan (6-0, 6-4) in the No. 4 match. Gutierrez, who Liberty head coach Chris Johnson slid into the No. 3 slot for the match, toppled Tristan Boustany, 6-3, 6-2. Gutierrez's win brought the Liberty lead to 3-0.
Burton, who played at No. 3 singles earlier in the day, supplied the Flames the winning point with a two-set triumph over Chalmers (6-2, 6-4) in the No. 2 singles match.
After splitting the first two sets, the No. 1 singles match between Salas and Stierle was settled by a 10-point tiebreaker, won, 12-10, by Salas. Salas' victory (3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (12-10)) was his team-best 16th in singles, this season, and gave the Flames a 5-0 cushion.
On court five, Poynter won his first singles bout of the spring. The sophomore defeated Peter Dewitt in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7). The last match to conclude was won by Janko in a third-set tiebreaker over Flames sophomore Ryker Heller, 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 1-0 (10-8). Janko's win at No. 6 singles settled the final score at 6-1 in favor of Liberty.
The 6-1 win tied for the Flames' biggest margin of victory of the season, set earlier in the day with a 6-1 victory over the Fairfield Stags.
Liberty will return to competition, next Wednesday at East Carolina at 2 p.m.
